    The exhibition invited visitors to pause and discover the Arctic – a world that is both fascinating and fragile.

    The exhibition ran between 26 November 2025 and 7 June 2026 at: Knowledge Cube exhibition space in the Vita Building and the University Library, Kalmar. Knowledge Cube exhibition space at the University Library, Växjö.

    Several public research talks were held during this period.

  • Carlsson, M., Marano, M., Hägglund, H. (2021). Tack skogen 2.0.

    The project Thank You Forest 2.0 is inspired by the experience of using wood collected directly from the forest, rather than processed through the timber industry. This kind of wood often carries marks of its natural history – like a cherry tree with striking purple streaks caused by old nails. Such unique features are usually discarded early in industrial processing and seldom make it to artisans or consumers.

    The residency, which took place in 2020–2021, resulted in several workshops. In 2026, an additional workshop on reuse was conducted, and a tree made from reclaimed timber was presented for the nailing of doctoral theses in Kalmar. It is located in the University Library, on floor 1, house Stella.
