The research symposium Nordic Workshop in Management Accounting is held on 4-5 February at Linnaeus University in Kalmar. The annual conference, which is being held for the 29th time, brings together 25 participants from 14 different universities in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
The participants are all at different points in their research careers, ranging from former doctoral students to retired professors, all on the same terms. The conference is an opportunity to gather and talk about the research front in financial and operations management, and everyone's opinions are appreciated.
The conference planning group consists of Krister Bredmar, professor at the School of Business and Economics, Carl-Johan Petri, associate professor at Linköping University and Mathias Cöster, associate professor at Uppsala University's Gotland campus.
All conference papers are research-oriented and intended to eventually be published in scientific journals. This year, several entries have dealt with sustainability in different ways, but there is a wide range of content.
"We have received papers on everything from how non-profit organisations use social media to report the benefits they make with their grants, to methods for highly specialised cost follow-up," says Carl-Johan Petri.
