Large European research network aims to strengthen forest resilience
In October, the 17 partners of the European research project OptiForValue gathered for their first annual network meeting. The Bridge researchers Johanna Witzell and Johan Fransson represent Linnaeus University in this large collaboration aimed at strengthening the resilience and sustainability of Europe’s forests
OptiForValue aims to optimise forest value chain management using technologies such as remote sensing to increase their value, competitiveness and sustainability, as well as forest resilience.
– As part of the programme, the participants visited the Attsjö Super Test Site, where discussions focused on water balance and carbon balance in the forest, says professor Johan Fransson, project leader at Linnaeus University.
