Katarina Ellborg elected to a seat in Småland Academy
Katarina Ellborg, PhD in Business Administration at the School ofBusiness and Economics, has been elected as a new member of Småland's Academy, where she now occupies chair number eight. The Academy consists of 18 members who work to strengthen and make visible the culture and identity of Småland.
Katarina's research concerns entrepreneurship and culture, with a focus on how cultural organisations and creative actors create new value and develop their businesses.
- I was really both surprised and happy when I was asked. An honorable assignment together with interesting people. I know the fine work of academia and look forward to contributing with my experiences from research, teaching and cultural issues, says Katarina.
Through her commitment and her research, Katarina contributes to increasing the understanding of the importance of the creative industries in society, which is an important part of the region's and Småland's development.
