The FAIR principles have emerged as a key point of departure for the management of open research data.
Session 2: Getting Started with the FAIR and CARE principles
The FAIR principles, which aim to improve the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse of research data, have become an established part of open science practices and are increasingly emphasized by research funders such as the Swedish Research Council. At the same time, ethical considerations are becoming increasingly important in how research data are collected and shared.
This presentation therefore also moves beyond technical standards and explores the CARE principles (Collective Benefit, Authority to Control, Responsibility, and Ethics) and how they can support more inclusive and responsible research data practices in the humanities.

The series consists of four sessions covering open science in the humanities, the FAIR and CARE principles, legal and ethical considerations, and practical workflows for managing research data.
