The flannelgraph was invented for the purpose of Sunday schools in America and was a frequent tool for learning about and exploring worlds - such as farm life - in Swedish schools in the 1970s.
In this workshop we will make ingredients for the world or worlds we would like to see through an earth logic perspective using felt and other textile materials. We can also unmake* and remake worlds. The freedom we have given ourselves to reimagine design and make worlds, is co-informed with, for example, notions of ontological design**, “design in the pluriverse”***.
This workshop is for:
- You who like crafting and talking.
- You who would like to play with ideas around world making.
The workshop is facilitated by Lena Håkansson, Senior Lecturer in Design, Linnaeus University and textile designer, together with Mathilda Tham, researcher and a curator of the exhibition Earth Logic Design Agency. The workshop starts with a short introduction to the exhibition.
The exhibition Earth Logic Design Agency is a collaboration with The Cultural University. See the project Earth Logic Design
