Strategic leadership for technology-enabled business transformation

In a world where technological innovations are rapidly changing the business landscape, the ability to lead and adapt to these changes becomes a critical competitive factor. This course is designed for managers, leaders, and decision-makers who want to develop their skills in leading successful technology-driven business transformations.

Target group

The course is aimed at managers, leaders, and decision-makers from the industry who are facing or undergoing technology-driven changes. Whether you are an experienced leader or have a more technical background, this course will provide you with valuable insights and tools to drive your organization forward in the digital age.

Content

In the course, we will address a range of topics such as:

  • Strategic decision-making in organizations
  • Strategic organization: purpose, values, and culture
  • External environment: macro, industry, and competitive environments
  • Internal environment: resources, capabilities, and activities
  • Strategies for achieving competitive advantages, innovation, disruption, and digitalization
  • Leading strategic change

You will also complete a Mini-Capstone project, which is a written report on strategic leadership for technology-driven transformation at your current or previous workplace.

The goal of the course is for you to be able to:

  • Understand the principles of strategic decision-making and strategy development in organizations.
  • Understand the link between strategy and competitive advantage.
  • Understand the significance of innovation and digitalization for strategy and competitive advantage.
  • Understand how strategic decisions can be activated through strategic leadership and strategic change initiatives.
  • Apply and synthesize the course knowledge in a real-world context by completing an independent project.

Registration

The course will be given in the spring of 2027. More information will be available in the fall.

Registration is done via antagning.se and opens later during fall 2026.
